Job Description

Position overview:

Dive Instructor is responsible for teaching scuba diving skills and guiding all other activities while ensuring the safety of students, certified divers and other guests during water activities. They play a critical role in promoting marine exploration while adhering to strict safety protocols and environmental conservation practices.

Key responsibilities:

• Teaching the whole range of PADI courses (from DSD to Divemaster) while strictly following PADI standards.
• Demonstrate diving techniques, including buoyancy control and emergency procedures.
• Lead guided dives for certified divers, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Monitor divers’ safety underwater and on the surface.
• Maintain emergency preparedness and assist in rescue situations if needed.
• Ensure all diving and snorkeling equipment is well-maintained and ready for use.
• Prepare and maintain the diving equipment, ensure it meets the necessary operational standards (e.g. filling the tanks, loading the equipment to/from the boat).
• Conduct safety checks on diving equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
• Guiding snorkeling, fishing and other excursions (e.g. sunset cruises).
• Assisting the guest with renting the equipment for watersports activities (SUP, catamaran, kayak, windsurfing).
• Perform basic Dive center maintenance tasks assigned by the management.
• Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for students and guests.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the same capacity.
• PADI Instructor or higher with 2+ years of experience in the diving industry.
• Can work in a small team on a small and tranquil island with a positive, flexible attitude and excellent communication skills.
• High level of spoken and written English is a must. Additional languages are a plus.
• High level of personal grooming expected in a luxury working environment.
• No visible tattoos.
