Job Description
We are a leading PADI Five-Star Dive Centres and watersports operation.
We are currently looking for a COUPLE that can cover the positions of Base Leader and Dive Team Leader, as soon as possible, in one of our reference destinations in Africa: Le Morne, Mauritius.
Requirements: (Please note that we are only looking for couples)
- Enthusiastics, proactives, sales – oriented and team players with ability to adapt to local conditions and, highly safety and compliance oriented while providing the best customer service.
- Advanced level of written and spoken English. (Other languages are an add).
- Leadership, communication and problem-solving.
- Guest experience and sales / revenue-orientated
- Knowledge about general aspects of a business. (Business administration or tourism-related degrees are an asset).
- Organization and administration skills. General use of computers is a must.
- Capable of managing a team of 20 staff members and 4 power boats.
- Knowledge about excursions by boat, diving and other watersports activities.
- Dive Team Leader must have a minimum PADI OWSI certification and experience in diving and PADI standards.
- ScubaCaribe Mauritius is the official Dive Centre and Watersports provider for RIU Resorts, so a great sense of responsibility in regard to personal conduct is a must.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, compressor handling and boat captain licenses are an add
Responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation of control measures delegated to the position
- Be responsible for briefing and debriefing of staff on a daily basis. Ensuring all staff are aware of their tasks for the day-to-day operation.
- Planning and development of all daily activities and excursions, ensuring through direct supervision that all safety and quality standards are met.
- Coordínate logistics of the excursions.
- Staff management: Attendance, assignment and control of responsibilities, internal training etc.
- Administrative tasks such as incident reports, inventories, analytics and supply orders among others.
- Promote, control and direct sales strategies to achieve the goals set.
- Ensure standards are met in operation including: Bookings and booking data are set up correctly, Staff control & qualifications, Safety & risks assessments, equipment suitable on activities and facilities and deliver cf coaching and training and correct as appropriate.
- Undertake regular inspections of the areas of operation
- Deal with customer/service inquiries in a professional and positive way. Ensuring that the service maintains a strong customer focus and remains committed our philosophy
We offer:
- A competitive basic salary and based revenue commissions
- Accommodation in fully furnished studio in La Gaulette (outside the resort),
- Transportation to workplace, two meals per day at the staff canteen (breakfast and lunch) Assistance to obtain a legal work permit
- 13th extra pay (paid at the end of the year prorata).
- 6 days off per month.
- Incorporation flight and 1000usd bonus flight every year.
- Possibility of getting up to 30 days of vacation in the low seasons.

- This is an at least one-year contract commitment with possible extensions, which we seek to fill immediately.
