Job Description

Divemaster internship: get your professional underwater career going with Gozo Azul, our 5 star PADI IDC center in the amazing Mozambique.

It is your time to become a PADI dive professional and come do your divemaster course/internship in beautiful Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique. Our underwater world is thriving right from MACRO life all the way to our amazing shark dives at pinnacle where we can see 7 different species of shark in one dive.

Framework:

• 6-8 week internship starting from, July 01 2024.
• Part-time internship: 20 hours per week, including weekends.
• course days are not counted as work days.

Responsibilities:

• Assist certified instructors with dive courses, guiding dives, briefings.
• Assist with customer service.
• Maintain, prepare and pack away dive gear.
• Participate in dive site maintenance and conservation efforts.
• Shadow experience experienced instructors and divemaster’s, gaining valuable mentorship from both.
• Assist with dive center operations.

Qualifications:

• Rescue diver and EFR. ( You can do your recue and EFR courses with us if you only hold your Advanced Open water diving certification.)
• Excellent swimming and diving skills
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Clean diving medical clearance.
• Enthusiasm for underwater world
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part as a team.
• Experience with water sports or marine biology is a plus.

Course starting price 2250 Euros.

• Emergency first response course
• Rescue diver course (if not rescue already)
• Divemaster
• 6-8 weeks (depending on individual)
