Instructor & Shop Manager

Job Description

Our dive shop is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Dive Instructor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dive instruction to our customers, ensuring their safety and enjoyment while diving.

The Professional Dive Instructor will also be responsible for promoting our dive shop and its services, as well as maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
– Conducting dive courses and training programs for customers of all levels, from beginner to advanced
– Ensuring the safety of all customers during dives, including conducting pre-dive safety checks and providing emergency assistance if necessary
– Providing guidance and support to customers during dives, including pointing out interesting marine life and answering questions
– Promoting our dive shop and its services to potential customers, including through social media and other marketing channels
– Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
– Maintaining accurate records of customer certifications and dive logs
– Maintaining and repairing dive equipment as needed
– Participating in dive trips and excursions with customers as needed

Qualifications:
– Certified as a Professional Dive Instructor by a recognized dive training agency (PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.)
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dive instructor, with a proven track record of providing high-quality instruction and ensuring customer safety
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers of all ages and backgrounds
– Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong knowledge of dive equipment and maintenance procedures
– Current CPR and First Aid certifications
– Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
