Seeking Dive professional for teaching/guiding boat dives

What is the job position?
We are a 5-star PADI dive centre in Kawaihae seeking an ocean-loving, energetic, friendly, certified PADI Scuba Instructor or Divemaster.
What will I be doing?
As a PADI Scuba Instructor with our operation, you will be an integral part of our boat crew and will be sharing the values of our Dive Centre with guests, including the highest standards in safety, customer service, and eco-awareness.
Specific job duties include:
Greeting customers in a friendly manner, and providing a high level of service at all times. Providing product information and positive sales techniques to all customers.
Providing high-quality Scuba instruction in a pool and the ocean while maintaining and remaining current on all PADI Standards at all times.
Leading certified divers on guided dives along the Kohala coast while sharing local knowledge of sea life.
Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
After training: Fill and handle scuba tanks and properly maintain equipment.
Use safe and proper boat handling skills to company specifications.
Help promote the company through social media and events.
Working with others as a team, often in tight quarters and strenuous conditions.
Using a computer to navigate the PADI website and other online programs and downloading underwater pictures for customers.
Transporting customers to and from area resorts in the company’s vehicle for boat excursions.
What Requirements must I meet?
Current PADI Dive instructor certification in Good standing.
Be current in first aid and CPR.
Be enrolled in our company’s random drug testing program per Coastguard standards.
Have strong leadership skills.
Be 02 certified and have AED training (can be provided by Kohala Divers).
Have a Valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Live in Hawaii and have reliable transportation to work
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have experience as a PADI instructor and have excellent customer service skills. Be great at communicating in person, on the phone, and by email. Have a local knowledge of the area, and the ocean, and a desire to share it with guests. Enjoy working in a team environment and have a passion for Scuba, Hawaii’s underwater sea life and ocean conservation.
