Dive Instructor for Tioman Island

Job Description

We are looking for a few instructors to add to our current team for the season of 2024, which will commence by early February.

Please only apply if you are:
– Speaking English and either German or French fluently
– Planning to stay for at least 1 season (Feb-Nov), preferably longer
– Are a team player with a good spirit
– Can handle the sometimes difficult students with a smile

The Diving Centre, which has been established almost 40 years ago and is run by Malay/German/Swiss owners. Located in Air Batang on Tioman Island in Malaysia, we are a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre (soon to be CDC) and have a dive team of 13 instructors and 4 divemasters. We’re also running our own upper market accommodation plus a dormitory. In total, we employ close to 40 staff.

Expect a busy dive centre with a good vibe (we also run our own bar), where we have a general dive group limit of 4 students per instructor and i.e. run OWD courses in 4D/3N.

We’re running a Nitrox membrane system and encourage all dive crew to dive on Nitrox.

Compensation is a mix of basic and commission and is considered on the high side for Malaysia.
