DIVE OPERATIONS MANAGER COUPLE WANTED
Waidroka Bay Resort – Viti Levu, Fiji
Waidroka Bay Resort, a boutique Dive & Surf Resort located on the main island of Viti Levu, Fiji, is seeking an experienced and professional Dive Operations Management Couple to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate, hands-on couple to manage and oversee our Dive Operations. This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote, tropical paradise while contributing to a dynamic, close-knit team in a boutique resort setting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Fluent English (spoken and written) with excellent communication skills, particularly for coordinating international dive groups
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) in active status
Enriched Air (Nitrox) Certification with verifiable teaching experience
Gas blending & Nitrox tank filling expertise – including safe handling of enriched air cylinders
Equipment servicing knowledge – the ability to maintain and repair tank valves, regulators and BCDs is essential
Mechanical proficiency on outboard engines and air compressors (operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting)
Boat fleet maintenance – hands-on involvement in daily upkeep of our 5 boats to ensure safe, reliable operation for dive and surf activities
Leadership skills – ability to manage dive operations independently as senior expat staff, including captains, Dive Masters and Trainees
Strong interpersonal skills – able to create a warm, family-like atmosphere through guest interaction and hospitality
Previous resort and hospitality experience is essential
Valid Driver’s License
Boat Captain’s License – preferred for at least one individual in the couple to have a valid captain’s license
Couple Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Resort General Managers and support overall resort operations
- Assume full responsibility for day-to-day dive operations (A to Z)
- Participate in daily diving activities and ensure the highest standard of guest service
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to contribute across all areas of the resort
- Thrive in a remote environment with a small, dedicated team of local and expat staff
- Prior experience in remote or resort-based dive operations is highly valued
