Position Summary:
The SSI Dive Instructor is responsible for teaching scuba diving courses following Scuba Schools International (SSI) standards, ensuring student safety, and promoting a positive, engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach SSI programs from entry-level courses (e.g., Open Water Diver) up to professional levels as a certified instructor.
• Deliver classroom, confined water, and open water training sessions.
• Ensure all training meets SSI training standards and legal requirements.
• Conduct dive briefings, skill demonstrations, and knowledge reviews.
• Supervise students and certified divers to ensure safety at all times.
• Maintain, inspect, and report on training equipment.
• Promote SSI continuing education programs, specialities, and dive trips.
• Assist in shop operations, sales, and customer service when required.
• Log all certifications and student records in the SSI system promptly. Requirements
• Current SSI Open Water Instructor (or higher) rating.
• Active status with SSI, including liability insurance (where required).
• Current First Aid/CPR and Oxygen Provider certifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Good physical condition and medically fit for diving.
