Not just a scuba instructor and underwater photographer; Lawrence Alex Wu is an artist who visually translates and transforms divers’ adventures and the ocean’s secrets into captivating imagery. With 20+ years of experience, his lens captures the underwater adventures of divers, beauty of marine life, underwater landscapes and conservation-focused environmental photography.

His work has garnered over three dozen recognitions in prestigious competitions worldwide. Notably, his “Enchanted Forest” image was printed and displayed 3000+ times and travelled to 60+ cities for the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” (WPY) exhibition as the campaign’s hero image with London’s prestigious National History Museum (NHM).

Beyond capturing stunning visuals, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge. For 10+ years, he has been teaching his self designed photography workshops, equipping aspiring photographers and divers with the skills to explore and capture the wonders above and below the waves.

Previous to the scuba industry, he comes from the IT industry of networks, databases, graphics & web. As a Information Technology Specialist, his skills also include: communication liaison specialist between technical IT workforce and non-technical management staff and software systems setup, designing for ease of use, maintenance, troubleshooting and user training.
