Responsible for background administration and day to day operations of prime location diving centre Larnaca Cyprus, managing a team of 8 in Peak season and 4 in off season - centre specialised in low ratio teaching and guiding recreational and technical diving
Daily operations inclusive of bookings, scheduling, logistics alongside guiding and teaching as required
Teaching responsibilities from DSD to Instructor and technical training
Guiding recreational and technical deep wreck penetration routes on the Zenobia
Leading exploratory dives on new archaeological dive sites throughout the Larnaca Bay
Sales through service approach to customer interactions, allowing natural sales conversations and implementing desirable training and diving environments to drive repeat and word-of-mouth business along with effective and tactful complaint resolution
Hosting and organisation of large group bookings conducting multiple activities requiring large scale resource management - this included arranging travel, accommodation, insurance, itinerary and any training requirements
Daily and monthly accounting inclusive of till reconciliation, use of remote payment apps such as stripe and collaboration with tax free shopping partners such as Global Blue
Monthly VAT calculation and expenses reporting provided to company accountant through excel and app generated reporting
From a management perspective:-
Introduction of a formal and structured onboarding and training program for staff
Daily staff allocation and staff rota
Payroll and social security management using excel, banking payroll applications and government specific processing
Staff development and training through annual goal meetings with bi-monthly milestone meetings and progress check ins. Implementation of structured training cascade through senior members of staff to new starters along with performance qualification incentives
Development of training materials for in house and other instructor trainers which were area specific and adapted to Cypriot dive instruction - distributed in 4 languages through powerpoint and PDF

Manage a permanent team of 8 staff with an extended team of 12 freelance Divemasters + Instructors
Ensure smooth day to day running of a busy centre with a maximum daily capacity of 60 customers
Manage budget, petty cash, staff training/development, equipment sales and servicing
Oversee for boat maintenance, audits, inventory and operational procedures
Generate new business opportunities and cultivate close working relationships to increase new diver acquisition and return business, incentives implemented include:
Scuba creche – kids program implemented at the hotel for 8-12 year olds
Implementation of a PADI training program for US military
Continuing Education incentives program – hierarchy and time sensitive discounts increasing return business and Open Water Diver conversion
Technical Diving Club (Divers Down Deeper) – increase exposure to TEC diving, exclusive offers, trips and training
Oversee and organise 4 school trip groups with up to 50 kids from 10 – 18 years of age – scuba training, accommodation, catering and entertainment
Organise and lead monthly trips to Musandam Peninsula – Dhow based overnight trips – payments, scheduling, border transfers, accommodation, on trip PADI training and documentation

Open Water, DSD, refreshers and dive guiding daily in visibility ranging from 2 metres to 15 metres and changeable currents
Dive shop operations including admin, running beach kiosk and sales
Conservation efforts in the forms of net clearance and underwater clean-ups and beach sweeps

All training has been provided in English waters both at Inland sites and within the English Channel

School trip staffing – 30 children from Valley Park Secondary School taken to St. Lucia to complete Open Water and Advanced Open Water Training
