We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Divemaster/Deckhand to join our team aboard a commercial charter vessel operating out of Perth for the upcoming Summer season.
This casual position (with potential for permanency) involves a mix of deck duties and guest service, supporting both vessel operations and high-quality guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the ‘face’ of Blue Destiny on our diving charters.
- Maintain, set up, and rinse dive gear; assist guests with equipment troubleshooting.
- Deliver dive and safety briefings to passengers.
- Perform deckhand duties including mooring, anchoring, docking, and line handling.
- Maintain vessel presentation (interior/exterior cleaning, washdowns, polishing, general upkeep).
- Support guest service, including food & beverage assistance and customer care.
- Ensure compliance with AMSA safety procedures and assist with drills.
- Act as in-water guide and safety supervisor for certified divers.
- Assist with Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) programs and snorkel tours when required.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and strong.
- Previous maritime experience (training provided).
- Minimum PADI or SSI Divemaster – active and insured.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate and O2 Provider.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Must be based in Perth, Western Australia.
- Must be an Australian resident for tax purposes (current Australian work visa).
- Flexible availability,y including weekends and public holidays.
