We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Divemaster/Deckhand to join our team aboard a commercial charter vessel operating out of Perth for the upcoming Summer season.

This casual position (with potential for permanency) involves a mix of deck duties and guest service, supporting both vessel operations and high-quality guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the ‘face’ of Blue Destiny on our diving charters.
  • Maintain, set up, and rinse dive gear; assist guests with equipment troubleshooting.
  • Deliver dive and safety briefings to passengers.
  • Perform deckhand duties including mooring, anchoring, docking, and line handling.
  • Maintain vessel presentation (interior/exterior cleaning, washdowns, polishing, general upkeep).
  • Support guest service, including food & beverage assistance and customer care.
  • Ensure compliance with AMSA safety procedures and assist with drills.
  • Act as in-water guide and safety supervisor for certified divers.
  • Assist with Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) programs and snorkel tours when required.

Requirements:

  • Physically fit and strong.
  • Previous maritime experience (training provided).
  • Minimum PADI or SSI Divemaster – active and insured.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate and O2 Provider.
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
  • Must be based in Perth, Western Australia.
  • Must be an Australian resident for tax purposes (current Australian work visa).
  • Flexible availability,y including weekends and public holidays.
