Marine Biologist & Dive Guide / Instructor wanted ASAP!

Salary:
€1,000.00 – €1,200.00 / Monthly
Language requirements:
English, French, German

You would be working as a Marine Biologist & Dive Guide/Instructor at Dive2gether:

  • A 5-star PADI Eco Resort.
  • Awarded the PADI Green Star.

We are looking for a talented and passionate Marine Biologist who will be trained to contribute to our research programs and run the daily activities of the Dive2gether Marine Field Station.

​At the same time, you will be part of our dynamic crew offering high-quality PADI diving and snorkelling activities. To do this, you will need to be a PADI Divemaster and an independent working dive guide. If you are not yet at this level, then we offer a highly discounted price for your diver training.

Your tasks (not limited to):

Research/Education:

  • Collection and maintenance of our long-term monitoring data on invasive species
  • Running the daily operations of our marine biology department
  • Participating in our Posidonia oceanica restoration project
  • Educating the Dive2gether Crew members about the marine life
  • Holding regular presentations for guests and locals about the underwater world of Plakias

Diving-related:

  • Supervising and guiding certified divers on fun dives and marine biology activities
  • Running snorkelling trips and courses
  • Cleaning, preparing and organising diving and snorkelling gear
  • Selling diving activities, courses, and equipment
  • Participating in social evening programs organised by the diving school

Your profile:

  • BSc or MSc in Marine Biology or Biology
  • Fluent in English and one of Dutch, German, or French
  • Team player and enthusiastic
  • Strong focus on conservation and understanding of ecology
  • Experience in scientific education and outreach

Good extras (not obliged):

  • Full European driving licence
  • PADI Divemaster or Instructor, but you can be trained up to the Divemaster Level
  • Experience with photography, blogging, or social media
  • Work experience at a diving centre
