German Instructor for Liveaboard

STARTING DATE asap 2025 – May 2026 (Long-term preferred)

About Us:
We are a well-established liveaboard operation in the Maldives, looking for a male Dive Guide to join our friendly and professional team. Two highly experienced instructors currently lead the dive operations. You will join as a third guide, ideally an experienced candidate with liveaboard experience and a passion for life at sea and living on a ship.

Who We’re Looking For:
– Age: 20 – 50 years
– Languages: Fluent in German and English
– Diving Experience:
– Minimum 500 logged dives as a guide
– Comfortable diving in strong currents and managing groups (up to 8 divers)
– Previous liveaboard experience is essential
– Certification: Active PADI or SSI Instructor status
– Insurance: Valid liability and accident insurance for dive professionals
– Appearance: Well-groomed – tattoos, long hair, and beards are welcome

Personality:
– Friendly and guest-oriented
– Responsible, punctual, and organized
– Team player with the ability to deliver professional dive briefings
– Strict no-drugs policy and no excessive drinking. Non-Smokers and non-drinkers preferred.

Responsibilities:
– Leading dive groups and ensuring safe, smooth dive operations
– Conducting dive briefings in English and German
– Managing maintenance of rental equipment
– Managing Diving documentations and whiteboards
-reporting daily weather updates to crew and guests
– Supporting general onboard duties and guest service
– Collaborating with the onboard owner/operator (also Cruise Director and Dive Guide)
– Optionally socializing with guests in the evenings

Compensation:
– Base Salary: 1000 USD/month (including Service Charge an tips 1800-2200 USD)
– Payment: Monthly via bank transfer (USD account required in the Maldives)
– Service Charge and Tips: Shared fairly – approximately 600–800 USD/month
– Additional Tips: Cash directly from guests for excellent personal service
– Option to rent out personal camera equipment (computers etc. are provided by the boat)
