German speaking PADI instructor couple wanted in Maldives

We are looking for a PADI OWSI or higher couple to to join our team in Komandoo for the upcoming 26/27 season. Start date is: 15.05.2026

Komandoo is a small, beautiful 4.5* resort island on the North West side of the Lhaviyani Atoll with 2 house reefs and 50+ dive sites within reach by boat, with some of the best big fish diving in the Maldives. The island is strictly 18+ and our guests range from first time divers & snorkellers to regular returning guests with 1000s of dives.

We are a small team of 4 instructors and 2 compressor & equipment technicians. As a dive instructor in our team your day to day would involve:

• House Reef orientation dives
• Planning and running boat dive excursions for up to 12 guests
• Teaching from DSD through to specialities (Divemaster courses are not very common here)
• Running snorkel activities
• Helping with enquiries & guest check-ins at the Dive Centre
• Retail sales
• Weekly Diver’s Night at the main resort bar (on rotation)
• Basic office duties

What we are looking for:

• Active status PADI OWSI or higher with minimum 6 months teaching & guiding experience
• EFR & Nitrox instructor, with DAN professional liability insurance
• Minimum 1 fluent German speaker (mother tongue) – both of you should be fluent in English (more languages are a plus)
• Complete personal equipment, including torch, compass and SMB
• Some experience in remote areas
• Safety and customer service focussed, Team players, can-do attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile
• Comfortable with 3 dives a day
• Ready to commit for 1 year (extension possible)

While the island is small, we try to get off of it once a month to either a sister resort or the local island close to us. But it’s a seaplane flight away from Male.
