Dive Instructor –  Great Barrier Reef

Salary:
$1,300.00 – $1,450.00 weekly

Since 1983 our well-established DC has developed and maintained an international reputation as the premier dive company in Cairns. We offer the highest-quality and best-value liveaboard trips to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Our 3 multi-million dollar purpose-built dive vessels provide the very best outer reef liveaboard experience in Cairns.

We are currently seeking applications from PADI Dive Instructors to teach all levels of PADI courses. In keeping with the high level of professional service we provide, Dive Instructors employed at Pro Dive Cairns are required to hold the….

Following qualifications:

Current PADI teaching status
Current Professional liability insurance
Dive medical (AS 2299) – valid within the last 12 months
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid (valid for 3 years)
HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (valid 12 months)
HLTAID015 – Provide Advanced First Aid  (valid 12 months)
Valid full driver’s license held for a minimum of 3 years
Valid working rights

Further to the required qualifications, we are seeking applicants with the following skills and personal attributes:

Professional and confident in representing the business
Strong knowledge of PADI courses and dive training
Comfortable promoting and selling dive experiences
Solid boating background or practical vessel knowledge
Clear communicator and strong team player
Experience in dive or holiday destination operations
Genuinely customer-focused with an outgoing, personable nature
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Additional languages (German, French, Italian or others) highly regarded

Our selection process will involve a formal interview held in Cairns as well as a 5-day training/orientation trip to assess each candidate’s suitability to our organisation.
