Job Description

English-speaking Marine Biologist/Snorkel Guide Wanted in the Maldives. Come and spend a year in paradise!

We are seeking a Marine Biologist/Snorkel Guide to complete our team at Prodivers Hurawalhi. Start date: Mid-February 2026 and 1 year contract is required. We are a friendly, multi-national team of 8 instructors, 2 marine biologists, 1 office coordinator and 3 compressor & equipment technicians.

As a Marine Biologist in our team, your day-to-day would involve:

  • Snorkel excursions by boat – Turtle Tours, Manta Search and more
  • House reef snorkel Tours
  • Guest enquiries at the Marine Centre
  • Management, maintenance, monitoring, and  reporting of our local coral project
  • Weekly guest lectures at the main bar
  • Coordinating environmental initiatives such as Clean Up the World Day with guests and staff
  • Assisting the dive team in cleaning the world-famous 5.8 underwater restaurant

Minimum requirements:

  • Rescue Diver certification (Active PADI Divemasters will have an advantage)
  • BSc in Marine Biology or related subject
  • Fluent in English
  • Active dive accident insurance (DAN or equivalent)
  • Safety and customer service-focused
  • A love for being in the water – you will often have 2 excursions a day
