Managing a scuba shop is a fast-paced and always-changing, fluid operation.
It is a ton of fun with an opportunity to learn and experience every aspect of the diving industry.
The manager must be able to adapt while still maintaining the highest standard of quality and professionalism.

Shop Manager Prerequisites & Responsibilities:
Prereqs:
-Leadership experience and training
-Basic computer skills
-Divermaster or above
-Organization skills
-Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively with staff
-Customer Service skills
-Willing to learn
-Excellent work ethic and integrity

Responsibilities:
-Day-to-day operations of the shop
-Course creation and management
-Trip creation and management
-Product ordering and tracking
-Service order management
-Staff meetings and schedule management
-Expert in dive operations
-Manage/improve processes and procedures
-Manage website
-Manage Point of Sale for the shop and the charters
-Ensure all staff are familiar and knowledgeable of processes
-All other additional requirements as they arise

About us:
The original Panama City Dive Center aka PCDC was established in 1983 by Mike Gomez and Jerry McLendon, making it one of the longest-established dive shops on the Florida Panhandle. PCDC is known for its tradition of excellence and good customer service. To ensure these values persist, Mike and Jerry chose new owners, Jason “Choppy“ and Ashley Barrow, to take over operations on February 1, 2018. Choppy worked for PCDC when he was younger, and along with Ashley, this legacy will continue.

Although Panama City Dive Center is globally known, we still retain the Mom and Pop vibe, as our goal is to make you feel like family when you walk in the door. We provide dive information, snorkel and dive gear; dive training; rental equipment; equipment repair; Air & Nitrox fills; and boat charters for snorkelling and both recreational and professional diving.

Our dive playground is the best, with Panama City Beach being the #1 dive destination on the Gulf with the most shipwrecks and offshore dive sites.
